Joe Burton committed to Oklahoma State on Monday.
Oklahoma State picked up its fourth commitment in the Class of 2014 on Monday, and this one extremely important, as Joe Burton announced intentions of signing with coach Travis Ford and the Cowboys.
The 6-foot-5 and 195-pound small forward from Houston (Tex.) Lutheran North is the No. 88 overall ranked recruit in the 247Sports Rankings and comes in at No. 73 in the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Burton choose Oklahoma State over two other finalists, Oklahoma and Oregon. Landing him is a important, make no mistake about it. He's capable of making an immediate impact once he arrives in Stillwater.
Ford already secured pledges from the No. 38 prospect in the 247Sports Rankings for the Class of 2014 Jared Terrell, the No. 118 recruit Mitch Solomon and one of the nation's top junior college prospects Jeff Newberry.
With Joe Burton now in the mix for the Cowboys, this recruiting cycle is shaping up to be one of the best in the entire country. Keep this in mind, Oklahoma State is still in the running for a commitment from Myles Turner.
